At The Heart of The Community
It's time to get ready for Heritage Week 2015! The national theme, 'Main Street: At the Heart of the Community, celebrates the social and economic history that makes a community's downtown or Main Street, an integral part of a community's past, a vibrant part of the present, and a significant resource to preserve and promote for the future. Here are some of the things we have planned.
Heritage Week Poster
The Heritage Week Poster is almost ready to be sent out to Heritage BC Members, schools and other community associations across BC. Watch for the launch next week - we're excited about the 'then and now' image theme!

Share Your Heritage Week Events
Are you planning to hold an event during Heritage Week that celebrate's your community Main Street? Heritage BC is focusing on social media to share and promote Heritage Week events across the province. Tell us about your community history and share your archive photographs. Show us what and how heritage buildings are a vital part of your downtown today. Promote your Heritage Week events on Heritage BC Facebook and Twitter. We want to hear from you!
NEW! HERITAGE WEEK CONTEST
After your community event, you can enter a description plus photos in our Heritage Week Contest. Your community group could win a feature article in Heritage BC Quarterly and receive two complimentary registrations to the Heritage BC Conference in October 2015 in Rossland, BC.
