Register Now For Three New Heritage BC Webinars!

Registration is now available for three educational webinars: Writing Statements of Significance; Grant Writing; How to use the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada.

These one hour webinars, presented by Heritage BC staff Karen Dearlove and Kathryn Molloy, provide participants expert instruction and are especially useful for those working on Heritage Legacy Fund 2015 applications.

Webinar registration is $25 for current Heritage BC Members and $35 for non members. One registration allows multiple staff/board members at one location to participate in the webinar. Access to the archived recording is included in the registration.

Call For Papers

Following on the Heritage Week theme of 'Main Street', the theme of the Heritage BC Annual Conference is "The Main Thing". We will be delving deeper by learning how to create dynamic downtowns by refreshing and renewing revitalization strategies. You will also find out how to leverage your heritage assets to discover tourism and sustainability opportunities.

We are now accepting paper submissions on a number of topics and also have a separate student paper submission process.

The theme for the next Heritage BC Quarterly is 'Adaptive Reuse'. We will be featuring interesting examples of heritage buildings, being used for purposes different than they were built for, from across B.C.

The Quarterly will be distributed at the end of May to 2,000 of our members, local governments, community heritage commissions, heritage associations, heritage planners, professionals and consultants, as well as historic sites and museums and owners of heritage properties.
