Webinar registration is $25 for current Heritage BC Members and $35 for non-members. One registration allows multiple staff/board members at one location to participate in the webinar. Access to the archived recording is included in the registration.

Send Us Your Photographs of B.C.'s Chinese Historic Places!

The Chinese Historic Places Interactive Map is now live on the Heritage BC website. The nominated places came from across British Columbia, and represent diverse types of places, including cemeteries, Chinese Canadian community hubs, places related to industry and agriculture, as well as cultural, spiritual, social and educational places.

We are seeking historic and contemporary images of these places in jpeg format:

Heritage Legacy Fund Project Holds Rededication Ceremony After Restoration

Vancouver's oldest cemetery, the Mountain View Cemetery, recently held a rededication ceremony after completing the Jewish Restoration Project works at the site.

The restoration works were completed after receiving funding from a number sources including the Heritage Legacy Fund.

National Aboriginal Day

Celebrate the diversity of our 'first' people on National Aboriginal Day on Sunday June 21st. A number of events showcasing and celebrating the rich contributions Abororiginal people have made to Canada will be taking place across B.C.

Chilliwack's 'The Fadden House' to be renovated

Chilliwack's Gore Brothers have stepped up to buy the 1911 Fadden House. The house was previously in disrepair after years of neglect and had been placed on Chilliwack's Heritage Inventory. Gore Brothers intend to restore the house to it's former glory in a way respectful to the house's original style.

Gore Brothers are currently appealing for any information, stories or history on the Fadden house. Contact them on goreadmin@gorebrothers.ca

Heritage Vancouver is acting as a channel for community engagement on the Heritage Action Plan and is bringing together Vancouver residents and experts in heritage and community to have this very important conversation.
