Heritage Week: Energy in B.C.

Heritage BC has proclaimed the week of February 20-26 to be Heritage Week!  Around the province, local governments are issuing their own proclamations, and community organizations are planning special events and activities on the Heritage Week theme:  “Energy in BC – a Powerful Past, a Sustainable Future”.

Historic Landscapes Conference

The 34th annual gathering of the Alliance for Historic Landscape Preservation will discuss new perspectives in historic landscape conservation when it convenes in Victoria, April 25 - 28. Suggested topics for discussion papers include challenges and new approaches to the identification, sustainability and protection of historic landscapes and issues of cultural diversity, identity and meaning in landscape preservation.
