Community Heritage Commission
Networking Conference

This is an unique way for heritage commission members to meet with their counterparts from other communities, along with staff from the provincial Heritage Branch and Heritage BC. It is open to CHC's and Heritage Advisory Committee's as well as anyone interested in how history is delivered in our communities.

The program includes a panel on The Heritage Plan: Getting from Yesterday to Tomorrow; Marking Our Milestones: Wraps, Signage, Mosaics with a special walking tour of downtown Maple Ridge; as well as presentations by Pam Copley, Provincial Heritage Branch and Heritage BC's new Executive Director, Kathryn Molloy.

HBC ANNUAL CONFERENCE

New Board of Directors

Heritage BC appointed a new board of directors at the Annual General Meeting in Burnaby on October 18. President Janice Henry is from Kelowna where she has been the executive director of the Central Okanagan Heritage Society for several years. 

The board welcomes Peter Hale from Nelson. Eric Pattison of New Westminster is now Past President and Helen Edwards continues to represent Heritage Canada Foundation. Directors Bjorn Simonsen of Victoria, Zlatan Jankovic of Vancouver, Ranjit Gill of Prince George and Helen Cain from Victoria are re-appointed. Thanks for all your hard work and enthusiasm!
