HERITAGE BC AWARDS GALA

A Night At The Races!

This year conference delegates, award recipients and special guests are invited to a very special night at the Clubhouse of the Fraser Downs Racetrack & Casino!

This is an important opportunity to recognize achievements in heritage conservation with the annual presentation of Heritage BC Awards. And then we'll all catch the excitement of live horse racing with our own racetrack teller on hand to place bets, delicious appetizers and a fun photo booth.

Part of our Annual Conference program, this event is open to all – delegates, award recipients, community and heritage organizations, corporate and tourism businesses, heritage planners and professionals. It is a 19+ event and ID is required.

HERITAGE LEGACY FUND

Supporting Conservation and Awareness of Heritage Resources in BC

Heritage BC is now accepting Heritage Legacy Fund grant applications for the Heritage Conservation Program and Heritage Awareness Program. There's lots of information on the website including downloads of HLF Guidelines and pre-application Worksheets. Contact Heritage BC Capacity Planner Karen Dearlove to discuss your potential project and confirm your eligibility.

Deadline for applications is September 5, 2014.

Our upcoming theme is Heritage and Sustainability.  We're always on the lookout for interesting articles about community heritage projects and groups. And it's a great way to reach the heritage conservation market in BC by advertising your business, products and services. Other Heritage Opportunities

Nominate your favourite history project or start your application today for the Governor General's History Award for Community Programming.  The winning project will receive $2,500 and a trip for two to Ottawa where they will receive their award in a special ceremony in Rideau Hall.  Deadline is August 1, 2014.
