Thank you for a Successful Conference!

Thanks to all the participants, presenters, volunteers, exhibitors and sponsors that made 2014 Heritage BC Conference a great success.

120 delegates joined us in Cloverdale BC on September 26-27 for two informative and energizing days of discussion, collaboration, workshops and networking!

This year's conference featured 14 interactive workshops, a Heritage Marketplace with informative exhibitors, keynote speaker UBC professor Maged Senbel, presentations from Heritage BC members and Community Heritage Commissions, walking tours and museum exhibits.

A Night At The Races!

Our Annual Awards Gala recognized important contributions in heritage conservation, planning and awareness in BC.  With delicious appetizers, a photo booth with traditional racing props to capture special moments, and our own racetrack teller on hand to place bets - it was a night of roaring success from starting post to finish line.

Details about all of Heritage BC's 2014 Heritage Award winners can be found on Heritage BC's website:

Main Street: At the Heart of the Community

This year's Heritage Week runs from February 16 to February 22, 2015.  The national theme "Main Street: At the Heart of the Community" celebrates the social and economic history that makes a community's downtown or Main Street, an integral part of a community's past, a vibrant part of the present, and a significant resource to preserve and promote for the future.

Heritage Canada has a great list of suggested activities to celebrate Heritage Week in your community.

Look for more information about Heritage Week 2015 on Heritage BC's website and let us know how your community is planning on celebrating.
