Ruckle Park – Active Farm
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy invites proposals from interested individuals, firms or corporations for the delivery of Farm Operator services at Ruckle Park, the Active Farm, in BC Parks. This RFP represents a unique business opportunity to operate the Active Farm; BC Parks will consider new products, experiences, business models and enterprises that allow long-term viability of a profitable operation.
A mandatory park site visit will be held at the following date and times. Oral questions will be allowed. However, questions of a complex nature, or questions where the Proponent requires anonymity, should be forwarded in writing, prior to the meeting, to the Government Contact. Questions and answers and all materials presented at this meeting will be available on BC Bid. In addition to BC Parks staff, agriculture experts will be on site for the site visit. Proponents must RSVP and commit attendance to the Government Contact by June 28, 2019. BC Parks will not be supplying lunch.

If for some extenuating circumstance a Proponent or representative is not able to attend the July 3 meeting, a second Site Visit will be held on July 11, 2019 adhering to the same guidelines set out above. If there are no RSVPs by July 8, 2019 this second meeting may be cancelled.

Late proposals will not be accepted. Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the RFP.

If the Ministry posts any addendum to the Request for Proposal package, it will be made be issuing an addendum to this BC Bid® site. Proponents are strongly encouraged to select “Send Me Amendments” that is included as an option on the Opportunity Notice published on BC Bid®. By selecting this option a registered Proponent will be automatically notified of any amendment that may be issued. Proponents that are not registered with BC Bid® may register by selecting Start your e-Service, Supplier Registration on the BC Bid® home page, www.bcbid.ca. Proponents who do not register with BC Bid® are solely responsible to continually monitor the BC Bid® website on an ongoing basis to keep themselves informed of any addendum.
