Welcome to the Francophone Historic Places Cultural Map

This map was a community sourced project that features 111 unique sites. All of the sites on the map were nominated through the Province of British Columbia’s “Francophone Historic Places Recognition Project”. They were selected by community and sector experts for their importance to British Columbia’s Francophone community and contributions to the history and development of the province. Together, the sites help tell the story of Francophones across the province, and give insight into significant moments in BC’s history.
