Yale Historic Site

Yale Historic Site is located 176 km northeast of Vancouver. The site contains a Pioneer Cemetery, the Creighton House Museum, and the historic St. John the Divine Church. Built in 1863, St. John the Divine is the oldest Anglican Church in British Columbia still standing on its original site.

Many Francophone settlers have marked the history of Yale, including Ovide Allard, François-Xavier Marmette and Quebecer Francis Jones Barnard, who created the Barnard Express & Stage Line in 1865, a stagecoach company which transported mail and gold to Barkerville.
