This historic site is situated on the traditional, ancestral, unceded, and shared territory of the Semá:th and Máthxwi Peoples who have always lived on S’ólh Téméxw. The language traditionally spoken by the Stó꞉lō people is Halq'eméylem, the “Upriver dialect” of Halkomelem.
