Esquimalt First Graving Dock

The Esquimalt First Graving Dock, constructed between 1875 and 1887, is the oldest operating dry dock on the west coast of North America. The dock is located at the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt, Canada’s naval base on the Pacific coast. The dock was renamed the Naden Graving Dock in 1971.

The dock was built to assist British naval capabilities on the west coast.
