Welcome to the South Asian Canadian Historic Places Cultural Map

This map was a community sourced project that features 26 unique sites. All of the sites on the map were nominated through the Province of British Columbia’s “South Asian Canadian Historic Places Recognition Project”. They were selected by community and sector experts for their importance to the South Asian Canadian community and contributions to the history and development of the province. Together, the sites help tell the story of South Asian Canadians across the province, and give insight into significant moments in BC’s history.
