DESCRIPTION:North Van Arts is proud to present our latest exhibition at Cityscape Community ArtSpace\, What We Hold Close. The exhibition runs from January 23 – February 28\, 2026. \nWhat We Hold Close is an exhibition exploring the physical and symbolic spaces of domestic life. From textiles to tortillas\, twenty-one artists explore the notion of home – being remembered\, being celebrated\, the act of leaving\, and everything in-between. The artists explore and question what they hold close; what comforts or confines them\, and how their relationships to domestic space evolve across generations and geographies. \nWhat We Hold Close presents a multiplicity of perspectives\, inviting dialogue around belonging\, memory\, and the layered nature of home. \nFeaturing Artworks by:\nKirsten Basilan\, Thompson Brennan\, YoungHwa Cha-Hach\, Madeleine Chaffee\, Kim Cooper\, Georgia Devonshire\, Faria Firoz\, Jen Frederickson\, Kirk Gower\, Vanessa Hagley\, Khim Hipol\, Carrie Hull\, Amanda Jordi\, Yanxiao Li\, Carol Mayer\, Tatjana Mirkov-Popovicki\, Kristi Poole-Adler\, Nicole Sylvia\, Silvia Tagusagawa\, Jinfei Wang\, Ketty “Haolin” Zhang \nCityScape is a free community gallery open Wednesday – Saturday\, 11am – 5pm.
