The Chinese community has been present in virtually every corner of BC - from the time of the very earliest settlement of non-indigenous people. Chinese Canadian historic places in the province reveal that the story of the Chinese in BC is as old and as widespread as other settler histories, is connected to the British Imperial story, and is intimately linked with the formation of the province of BC.
