Welcome to the Industrial Heritage Places Map

This community-sourced map project features over 70 unique sites nominated through a public process.  An advising group of community and sector experts reviewed the sites for their importance to industrial heritage in the province, as well as their impact on community and their surroundings. Together, the sites help show the impacts of industry, both positive and negative, on changes within a growing province, and show the changing values of the communities they impacted.

Please Note: Places marked on the map with Company Town and Ghost Town icons will open a page focused on the occurrence of those sites generally. Company and Ghost Towns with their own site entries are organized within specific industrial categories.
