Discover history in your own backyard with a visit to the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site this Heritage Week 2024. Follow our daily blogs to uncover the fascinating layers of Steveston’s boatbuilding history. Kids – come visit the site Tuesdays to Sundays 12 to 4pm and pick up an activity booklet to become a “Jr. Boatbuilder”, or join a fun scavenger hunt to explore the heritage buildings where a diverse community once lived and worked in the fishing, canning and boatbuilding industries.
