Central Park Building, Smithers 2021 UHI-CERIP Grant Recipient
Heritage BC enjoys a strong relationship with the Provincial Heritage Branch. This has led to several opportunities to partner in the delivery of grant funds to support heritage related projects across the province.
We continue to advocate at a provincial and national level on behalf of the sector for the funding of heritage conservation, awareness and planning projects across the province.
Funds administered by Heritage BC on behalf of the Government:
The Province of B.C. allocated $16-million to the Unique Heritage Infrastructure stream of the CERIP program. Heritage BC received a record 159 applications, and juries ultimately selected 68 projects across the province to receive the funding. Explore our map of funded projects.
Heritage BC managed a funding envelope of $10-million to support reconciliation, learning, diversity, inclusivity, and resiliency through cultural heritage infrastructure, awareness, and planning. 92 projects in 54 communities across the province received funding. Explore our map of funded projects.
