All week on February 19 -25, 2024, culture and heritage organizations across the province are going to be hosting events to celebrate Heritage Week.
Use our Heritage Week Calendar to find events. Filter by cost, location, kid-friendly, virtual and more!
When you attend an event, take a photo, tag us at @heritagebcanada, and use #BCHeritageWeek to show your support for the conservation and ongoing stewardship of heritage in BC!
Make sure to visit the Douglas J. Husband Discovery Centre for Heritage Week between 2-4 pm as members of the Boundary Bay Quilters Guild will be there with their sewing machines to help you make a quilt block! Visitors will be able to try their hand and perhaps discover the “Joy of Quilting” for themselves!
In addition to examples of the various types of quilts and quilting, samples of tote bags made by the Guild from used municipal light post banners will also be on display.
This is a drop-in event.
For more information about the Guild, their activities and upcoming quilt show, visit their website at www.boundarybayquiltersguild.com, follow them on Face Book at Boundary Bay Quilters Guild Events or send an email to [email protected].
