During this year‘s BC Heritage Week, Ucluelet and Area Historical Society will again be hosting a speaker at the George Fraser room in the Community Centre. Monday evening, February 19, Author Ian Kennedy will present a talk on the Princess Maquinna, a ship of the BC Coastal Steam Ships line (CPR) on which west coast residents relied prior For many years during the period without road access. This society will be bringing materials from our collection for display. Perhaps you have some family stories about the Maquinna that you’d like to share during the question and answer period following Ian’s talk. There is no charge for this event. Ian will have some of the his books there for sale and signing.
