About the Webinar:
Desired Future Character Statements are a tool that local governments can use to work with their communities to envision and guide how neighbourhoods grow and change. Since the concept was first developed in Australia, Marco Geretto, based in Sydney, joined us to share the history, intent, and application of these statements in the Australian context. We were also joined by Lauren Sanbrooks and Elana Zysblat, who discussed how they incorporated Desired Future Character Statements into Kelowna’s updated Heritage Conservation Area documents and how other BC communities might apply this approach.
