This webinar asks what the heritage sector can do to tackle climate change, by making a case for a global reboot that casts conservation as a leader in the climate action fight. It introduces the power of embodied carbon, why cultural heritage should play a role in climate action and how heritage sector can address climate chaos through prevention, mitigation and adaptation. It acts as a call to action to the sector.
About the Presenters:
Mark Thompson Brandt is a member of the ICOMOS Climate Heritage Network International Steering Committee and author of “Building Resilience: Practical Guidelines for The Sustainable Rehabilitation of Buildings in Canada”. He is the Senior Conservation Architect & Urbanist at MTBA Associates Architects in Otawa.
