Webinar : Understanding and Strengthening Board and ED Relationships

About the Webinar:

This is the third webinar in a four part series hosted by Vantage Point for Heritage BC. It follows Board Fundamentals I and II.

Created for board members, this webinar delves into what shared leadership looks like between an organization’s Board, Executive Director (ED) and staff. It introduces a Responsibility Matrix, which explore the differences in responsibility between the board and the ED. Finally, they provide examples of how a Board can best support its ED, and what makes a great ED-Board Chair Partnership.

About the Presenters:

Leslie Dyck is a volunteer for Vantage Point, an organization that creates content to equip non-for-profit leaders to lift organizational capacity. She works as a consultant who offers facilitation, capacity building, program evaluation, policy analysis, strategic planning and project management.

As an organization of provincial scope, Heritage BC recognizes that its members, and the local history and heritage they seek to preserve, occupy the lands and territories of B.C.’s Indigenous peoples. Heritage BC asks its members and everyone working in the heritage sector to reflect on the places where they reside and work, and to respect the diversity of cultures and experiences that form the richness of our provincial heritage.
