Unleash Your Inner Baker in the 28th Annual Best of the Shuswap Pie Baking Contest hosted by R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum.
R.J. Haney Heritage Village, in collaboration with The Mall at Piccadilly and Save on Foods, proudly presents the “28th Annual Best of the Shuswap Pie Baking Contest” as a highlight of the Heritage Week Celebration on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
If you believe your pie-baking skills reign supreme in the Shuswap, now is the time to prove it! We cordially invite you to showcase your homemade masterpieces and compete for the coveted title. Join us for this delicious competition. Pies are judged based on appearance, authenticity, texture, and taste. Pie categories are apple, fruit, or berry pies, crafted the old-fashioned way—from scratch.
Winners of the contest will not only claim the prestigious title but will also receive a commemorative ribbon and dinner theatre tickets for two to the 2024 “Villains and Vittles” Summer Dinner Theatre Production. Additionally, winners are invited to contribute a pie to the 2025 Best of the Shuswap Pie Auction.
To enter, simply drop off your delectable creations on Saturday, February 24, between 10:00 am and 11:00 am at The Mall at Piccadilly, center court.
For contest rules, visit salmonarmmuseum.org or contact the Village at 250-832-5243 or email [email protected].
The excitement doesn’t end with the contest! Following the judging, slices of the contest pies will be available for purchase at $5.00 each, with proceeds contributing to exceptional projects at the Heritage Village and Museum. It’s a lip-smacking, community-centric event; everyone is welcome to indulge!
