Heritage BC & ArtsBC 2016 Conference

"PlaceMaking: Where Arts and Heritage Collide"

May 5-7, 2016 Granville Island, Vancouver, BC

Two provincial organizations, one giant conference, all taking place on Vancouver's Granville Island. Granville Island's unique industrial history and successful transformation into a vibrant arts community and tourist attraction make it an inspirational setting for this collaborative conference exploring the intersections between the arts and heritage.

ArtsBC and Heritage are inviting presentation proposals for the conference on a series of themes and topics including: Building Places for the Arts and Heritage; Contesting and Caring for Places; New Frontiers and Collisions; Organizational Capacity and Partnership Building.

Presentation formats can include traditional presentations (15-30 minutes); conference session or roundtable (90 minutes), and workshops (90 minutes).
