Details:
- The entrance has no steps or if there are one or more steps, there is non-slip ramp with a maximum of 5% slope.
- Entry route has a door that is at minimum 815 mm wide.

The Capitol Theatre – Nelson

The Capitol Theatre is the host for the Heritage BC Awards Reception on Thursday May 2nd. It is a 1km walk from the Prestige Lakeside Resort, with some elevation gain (35m). Taxi services can be arranged at the hotel’s front desk, if preferred.
Details about the Theatre:
- Doorway width: Front doors – 180″, doors into theatre are 145″.
- While there are no stairs to enter the lobby.
- You cannot access the theatre seating without using stairs.
- A total of 11 steps: 4 steps down to the first row of seats, then 2 to the next row, 2 more steps to the 3rd row, a final 3 steps to the centre floor section of the theatre.
Restroom:
- There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom in the theatre lobby.
- The door has a width of 34” .
- There are gender neutral washrooms.

The Nelson Museum, Archives and Gallery

The Nelson Museum is the host for the Final Reception of the conference on Friday May 3rd. It is a 500m walk from the Prestige Lakeside Resort, with some elevation gain (20m). Taxi services can be arranged at the hotel’s front desk, if preferred.
Details about the Museum:
- The main entrance is not accessible. The doorway is 30” wide. There are 7 steps to access it.
- The Ward Street entrance is wheelchair accessible. It has a ramp, and the doorway is 35” wide.
- The building has three floors. There is full elevator access to all floors. There is a lift between the main floor and gallery B.
Restroom:
- There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom with a 35” wide door.
- There are 3 gender neutral washrooms on the main floor.
