Always in All Ways invites you to explore your local community’s heritage in all the ways that excite you! This could look like anything from joining a walking tour, taking part in a workshop, to cooking a family recipe at home. Take time during this week to celebrate the culture and heritage of the communities that make up the place you call home.

Check back on this page regularly in January and February as it gets updated with all sorts of Heritage Week events.
Find us on instagram, facebook, and twitter at @heritagebcanada.
You can share what you get up to during Heritage Week by tagging us in your posts and using the hashtag #BCHeritageWeek.
We look forward to celebrating and re-sharing your heritage experiences!
Who can host events? Museums, Cultural Centres, Historic Houses, Historical and Heritage Societies, First Nations Governments, Heritage Commissions, Libraries, Parks, Schools, Community Centres, Cultural Organizations or Businesses, and more! If your organization has heritage, then highlight and celebrate it with your community during Heritage Week.
Our goal is to see more Heritage Week events in more communities in BC than ever before! Think about the ways in which heritage excites you – and then plan an activity, event or other program to celebrate them with your community!

Every year, the Province of BC and municipalities across the province, make proclamations declaring the celebration of Heritage Week. This is important, because it shows local communities that your civic leaders value heritage conservation – for both intangible and tangible heritage.
These proclamations are documents that Heritage BC leverages to demonstrate the value of Heritage to the Province, when we communicate with them about the need for financial and political support for heritage conservation.
