About the Webinar:
In this webinar Inga and Janna present on what the virtual world means to heritage, museums and culture. Inga shares use of digital tools to generate excellent visitors experiences, and reflects on the takeaways from Heritage BC and the BCMA’s Future Perfect research on how to create virtual, and hybrid programs, such as conferences. Examples from the Yukon Transportation Museum of applying this work. The second half of the presentation is dedicated to answering audience questions.
About the Presenters:
Inga Petri, CAIP, has been putting digital conversations in the arts on the agenda since 2011, when she lead the seminal Value of Presenting: A Study of Performing Arts Presentation in Canada (© 2013, CAPACOA). Inga crosses the arts and technology divide easily: since 1997, she has managed the development of web site applications, conceived online marketing campaigns, and helped organizations forge closer connections with their audiences in the digital and physical realms. Inga founded Strategic Moves in 2007 in Ottawa. She consulted on the “Future Perfect: Developing Effective Models for Digital, Physical, and Blended Conferences” Research Project that the BCMA and Heritage BC embarked upon in 2020.
Janna Swales is on the board of the Yukon Historical Museum Association, Tourism Industry Association Yukon and the Alaska Highway Heritage Society Yukon. She is the Executive Director of the Yukon Transportation Museum in Whitehorse, Yukon which is a signatory of the History Relevance Campaign.
