BC Heritage Week programming at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery

In celebration of BC Heritage Week 2026, join the Gulf of Georgia Cannery as we “stir the pot” and explore how fish, seafood, and community are connected.

Whether we’re harvesting, cooking, gathering, or celebrating, food brings us together. The Fraser River and its many forms of marine life have been key to the experiences and worldviews of Indigenous peoples, Cannery communities, and Steveston residents since time immemorial.
Event times – Monday, February 16 to Sunday, February 22, 2026

  • Family Day at the Cannery: Monday, February 16, 10am – 5pm
  • Fish Tales Recipe Book Sneak Peek – Saturday, February 21, 1pm – 2pm
  • Fish Tales exhibit pop-up installation runs throughout February

Cost:  Included with Admission; some Family Day activities subject to special pricing, free for youth 17 and under.
