Webinar On Demand: Committees That Add Value

About the Webinar:

This is the final webinar in a four part series hosted by Vantage Point for Heritage BC. On the theme of Governance, this webinar follows Board Fundamentals I and II, and Understanding and Strengthening Board-ED Relationships.

This webinar discusses why to use committees, and how to organize and use them effectively. Then it drills down on how to keep the number of committees limited and focused on critical issues, and how to conduct committee meetings in a successful and efficient manner.

About the Presenter:

Francis CF Chang is a volunteer for Vantage Point, an organization that creates content to equip non-for-profit leaders to lift organizational capacity. Francis worked as a lawyer for 25 years in private practice, and as general council. He has experience on boards and advising in both business and non-for-profits. He was a board member for the United Way of the Lower Mainland for seven years, including chairing the finance committee.

As an organization of provincial scope, Heritage BC recognizes that its members, and the local history and heritage they seek to preserve, occupy the lands and territories of B.C.’s Indigenous peoples. Heritage BC asks its members and everyone working in the heritage sector to reflect on the places where they reside and work, and to respect the diversity of cultures and experiences that form the richness of our provincial heritage.
